SMS opt-in
When you text our network number (for example, with the word SMOG or your city name), you are initiating a conversation and opting in to receive SMS replies from California Smog Check Network. Messages may include: answers to your questions, smog-check appointment confirmations and reminders, and in-store offer codes provided after you have confirmed a visit. For prior customers, you may also receive a one-time biennial smog-cycle reminder based on your last inspection date on file.
No mobile opt-in data or phone numbers are shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or any other purpose. Mobile information is not sold or rented.
Message frequency varies based on your interaction; messages are not sent on a fixed schedule unless you are a prior customer receiving a service cycle reminder (in which case, no more than 3 messages per 24-month cycle). Message and data rates may apply.
Reply STOP at any time to opt out — you will receive one confirmation message and no further messages. Reply HELP for assistance. Contact: sam@calsmognetwork.com.
CCPA rights
Under California Consumer Privacy Act, you have the right to know what we collect, request deletion, opt out of any data sale (we don't sell data), and not be discriminated against for exercising rights. Email sam@calsmognetwork.com to exercise any right.
State reporting (required by California law)
BAR requires every smog inspection to be electronically reported to DMV — license plate, VIN, inspection result, inspector's BAR license number. We comply with all state requirements.
